Changelog

List of server changes, newest first.

2026-06-18 22:00 CEST

  • FEATURE Tiered items now glow in their rarity color. Instead of a square frame around the slot, the outline traces the actual weapon / armor sprite with a soft fade and a slow pulse. Colors: green (T1), blue (T2), purple (T3), gold (T4), red (T5). Works in inventory, in any container, AND on items lying on the ground — so you can spot rare loot from a distance.
  • FEATURE Six elemental weapon affixes now show a visible effect on the sprite: Arc Strike (electric blue sparks), Ember Strike (orange flame flicker on the lower half), Noxious Strike (green pulse + droplets), Ignite (slow orange bloom), Infect (purple haze), Electrify (yellow micro-sparkles). Stacks with the tier outline — a T3 sword with Arc Strike shows both a purple silhouette and blue sparks across the blade.
  • UI Brand new chat window. Floating, draggable Diablo-style chrome with three pre-made tabs (General / Combat Log / Loot), an ornate gold frame, custom scrollbar art, and a Channels button next to the close X. Drag the right or bottom edge to resize; use the tab arrows to scroll through more channels than fit; press \ to toggle visibility. Removing the docked bar frees ~150 px of viewport. (You can flip the legacy bar back on in client settings if you prefer it.)
  • CHANGE Public chat channels trimmed to Trade, English Chat, World Chat, and Help. Guild and Party still auto-appear when relevant.
  • CHANGE Spells now display as orange overhead text using their actual name ("Ultimate Explosion") instead of yellow chat-spam of the raw incantation ("exevo gran mas vis"). Nearby players see the spell name, not the formula.
  • BUGFIX Dungeon list polish — undiscovered dungeons hide their name and icon, level-locked entries are greyed out, and the 1 s refresh tick no longer flips locked rows back to "Ready to enter".

2026-05-29 22:00 CEST

  • FEATURE Added elite mini-boss variants: ~1% chance after killing a regular monster, a themed elite version spawns at the corpse position. Five starter elites: Troll of Hatred (rage + tentacle summons), Ash Troll (burn AoE), Orc of Fury (slow + drunk AoE), Frostbound Skeleton (ice + poison fields), Voidfire Dragon (telegraphed 3×3 fire bomb every 8s on a random player). All elites carry a black skull, pulse a themed aura every 2s, and drop 5× the base monster's loot table. Details on the wiki.

2026-05-28 22:00 CEST

  • FEATURE Four new threat-management spells — one per vocation. Knight gets utamo eta (Wrathful Stance): passive threat regen ×3 for 10s. Paladin gets exana sin (Decoy Mark): immediate -25% threat plus 8s of zero-threat damage. Druid gets exana silva (Forest Cure): -50% now plus 50% threat-gen for 6s. Sorcerer gets exana res (Phase Out): brutal one-shot -80% drop. Full details on the wiki.
  • BALANCE Threat decay raised from 5% to 10% per second — a 2500 taunt now decays to ~870 in 10s instead of ~1500. Makes exeta res a sharper "burst lock" instead of a long-tail aggro hold, and gives DPS players a faster path back to peeling once the knight's bonus fades.
  • BALANCE Threat noise floor: values below 100 are now treated as "no aggro" and the monster falls back to its classic XML targetchange random retarget. Fixes "monster stuck on whoever it saw first when nobody is attacking" and similar low-stakes edge cases.
  • BALANCE Knights and Elite Knights now generate passive threat while being the monster's target. Rate scales with level (knight: max 10 or level×0.4 per second; elite knight: 1.5× that). Early-game answer to "I can't hold aggro without burning mana".

2026-05-27 22:00 CEST

  • FEATURE Monster aggro now runs on a full threat table: damage = threat, exeta res adds a flat bonus + 4s hard-lock, summon taunt ability uses the same system, and a 10% peel margin keeps targeting stable. Body-blocking exploit is patched — a player standing on a monster's path tile gets their threat boosted above the chased target. Full details on the wiki plus a /threat debug command for god chars.
  • BUGFIX King Tibianus and Queen Eloise: greeting them with hi no longer works — you have to say hail king / hail queen. Their guards (Stutch, Harsky, Barbara, Fenbala) rebuke commoners on hi and salute the monarch on hail king / hail queen without holding focus, so the player's promotion follow-up is no longer intercepted by every guard in the room.
  • BUGFIX Promotion now actually charges 20000 gold (was advertised as 10000 by mistake) and properly requires a premium account. Previously the Lua interface crashed mid-dialog on the premium check because of a deprecated config call carried over from older TFS forks.
  • BUGFIX Fixed a long-standing NPC bug where keyword state was shared across every NPC in the world via the dialog framework's internal table. In practice this caused nearby NPCs to "echo" each other — e.g. the king's guards announcing the promotion offer right after the king. Each NPC now keeps its own per-player dialog cursor.
  • BUGFIX Cleaned up ~30 legacy NPCs (Walter the Guard, Tim the Guard, Quero, Topsy, Seymour, Sam, and others) that used a single global dialog-state variable. Two players talking to the same NPC simultaneously could derail each other's offers/rewards; that's resolved.
  • SITE Password policy tightened on register and password-reset: minimum 8 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one digit and one special character.
  • SITE Email change flow with a 7-day delay added on the Account page. The pending change is visible the whole time and can be cancelled — limits the damage of a stolen session cookie.

2026-05-26 22:00 CEST

  • FEATURE Boosted Summon system: the utevo amp res spell now opens a picker where you can attach one of seventeen extra abilities (mass heal, life steal, immunities, charge, taunt, second wind, and more) to a summoned creature. Each ability costs extra mana on top of the standard summon cost plus a reagent item. See the full system guide for the ability list, icons, and current costs.

2026-05-19 22:00 CEST

  • SITE Character creation now lets you skip Rookgaard and start on the mainland. There is also a 50 level template option that spawns the character with full equipment, skills and a backpack copied from a pre-baked template (knight, paladin, sorcerer or druid).
  • FEATURE The Sacrificed Stone in Ab'Dendriel now behaves exactly like in 7.4 Tibia.
  • FEATURE Added the Test Server Assistance NPC: lives in every depot and hands out free full backpacks of runes, ammunition, amulets and rings to make testing easier.
  • CHANGE NPCs no longer sell runes, poison arrows, burst arrows or power bolts. Mana fluid and life fluid prices were unified to the intended values.
  • CHANGE Shop purchase limit raised: you can now buy up to 500 of a stackable item in one go (e.g. 500 ham, 500 bolts).
  • CHANGE Player-conjured runes now produce the correct number of charges per rune. As a bonus, holding a blank rune in both hands lets you conjure two runes at once as long as you have enough mana for both.

2026-05-18 22:00 CEST

  • FEATURE Quest Log is now wired up. You can see which quests you have completed and which step you are currently on. Not every quest is trackable in the log — small or trivial ones are intentionally left out to keep the list readable.
  • SERVER Reworked the script system for all quest chests (the ones giving items, not keys). Note: NPC-based quests still do not work and will be fixed soon.
  • SERVER Quest chests can now reward multiple backpacks of different runes inside a single bag (bag containing backpacks).
  • MAP Enlarged the giant spider floor on the Crusader Helmet quest.
  • MAP Connected the hero rooms in Hero Cave.
  • MAP Added two towers on Elvenbane.

2026-05-17 23:00 CEST

  • SERVER Reworked the script system for chests that hand out quest keys. Adding a new key chest is now a one-line config edit instead of a separate script file.
  • CHANGE Tomb entrances are no longer pre-dug holes. The ground was switched to sand and now requires a shovel; each use has a 15% chance to open a hole that auto-fills after 2 minutes.
  • UI Fixed a visual bug with backpack slots. Every cell now shares the same neutral background regardless of what item it holds. Only the equipment slots keep their distinctive slot frame.

2026-05-17 17:00 CEST

  • BUGFIX Pickaxe use is now restricted to map tiles explicitly flagged as diggable. Previously a pick could dig a hole through any floor.
  • BUGFIX Fixed ~70 NPCs whose scripts used the old npcHandler.focus ~= API and silently rejected every command. Seymour, Cipfried, Al Dee, shop keepers etc. respond again.
  • BUGFIX Equipment swap now works directly from a monster corpse. Previously the server only allowed swapping with items already in the depot or your own backpack — looting straight into an occupied slot reported "not enough room".
  • BUGFIX Quest rewards that grant a bag with contents now actually deliver the contents. Earlier the bag was empty because of missing compat shims for legacy quest scripts.
  • BUGFIX Monsters no longer walk into fire / poison / energy fields and kill themselves. Non-immune creatures now path around fields. They will still push through one field tile when shot at from inside a ring of fields (so you can't safely pelt them from cover).
  • CHANGE Throwable weapons (spear, hunting spear, throwing star, etc.) can no longer carry random affix attributes.

2026-05-17 14:00 CEST

  • CHANGE Levelling up no longer refills health and mana. You now only gain the vocation's per-level HP and mana increment.
  • FEATURE Selected wells can now be entered (drop one floor) and items inside can be pulled out with a rope. Wells without the proper action ID stay decorative.
  • BUGFIX Moving items inside your backpack no longer strips the +max HP and +max mana bonuses from equipped gear.
  • BUGFIX Rune words and solo runes no longer overwrite the base stats rolled on a tiered item. Example: a sword with +5 Sword Fighting fitted with a rune word adding +2 Sword Fighting now gives +7 total (previously the +5 was silently dropped, leaving only +2).
  • CHANGE A vocation'd character that loses 7 levels by dying is banished back to Rookgaard as no-vocation. The character loses every skill point and every item carried on the mainland.

2026-05-17 11:20 CEST

  • BUGFIX Characters without a vocation now respawn in Rookgaard temple instead of Ab'dendriel.
  • BUGFIX PZ lock now triggers on any attack against another player — including party members, guildmates, and players with a skull. Depot access blocked for 1 minute.
  • CHANGE Draw wells no longer teleport players one floor down. Only one specific well will function as a passage (to be scripted separately).
  • CHANGE Fishing no longer requires worms in your inventory, matching 7.4 behaviour.
  • FEATURE Rookgaard healer NPCs (Cipfried, Dallheim, Zerbrus) now heal players to 65 HP and cure fire / poison. Greet with hi then say heal.
